The summit is a series of interactive panel discussions and conversations focused on exploring the 2022 King Holiday Observance theme of “It Starts with Me: Shifting Priorities to Create the Beloved Community.” This shift is critically important to the survival of our world. If we continue down the path of being a self- centered, thing-oriented society, we face the risk of losing our very humanity.

The 2022 Beloved Community Global Summit takes a critical, comprehensive look at our priorities as individuals, leaders, members of society, government entities, corporations and civic organizations and examines the urgency of shifting those priorities to create the Beloved Community. There is the need for humankind to work towards a more just, humane, equitable and peaceful society where the “Triple Evils” of extreme materialism (poverty), racism and militarism cease to exist.
